ITT Elektronik Experimenter
The ITT Elektronik Experimenter kit seems to be used at schools. It is a thorough step by step introduction to electronics in an typical school style: some theory, an assignment, an experiment with the components and a form to be filled in and judged by the teacher.

The kit has large experimenters board, a transformer and a power supply.
Components are placed on little boards with pins on the botton to stick in the board, and pins on the top for the conenctions between the components.
Connections between the component boards are made with cables.
The components range from the common resistors, capacitors, diodes and transitors to even a opamp (a 741). Some boards are not yet populated, to enable expansion.
